Each Alpha Male® ingredient is scientifically selected for its research-backed effect on stimulating the body's natural production of testosterone, then carefully formulated for maximum, potency, absorption, and utilization. See all ingredients.
Eurycoma longifolia (100:1 extract) stimulates the production of luteinizing hormone, which signals the testes to produce testosterone. Eurycoma blocks testosterone from converting to estrogen, and it controls the conversion of DHEA to testosterone, further increasing testosterone and lowering estrogen. One study found that daily doses of Eurycoma increase total and free testosterone by 14% and 34%, respectively. Eurycoma also inhibits ROCK2, leading to greater blood flow to the genitals and stronger erections.*
Similar to Eurycoma, Tribulus terrestris (50:1 extract) is believed to boost testosterone by stimulating the production of LH, which prompts the testes to produce more testosterone. Tribulus is also thought to inhibit the enzymes responsible for the unwanted conversion of hormones to estrogen and DHT, thereby increasing testosterone and lowering estrogen. And Tribulus is believed to increase the effectiveness of testosterone in target tissues by enhancing androgen receptor density. Tribulus is also a known aphrodisiac, and numerous studies have confirmed its pro-libido use. One study, in particular, found that taking the herb daily for two months led to a 79% increase in male libido.*
Forskolin stimulates the production of cyclic AMP, which increases testosterone and the thyroid's secretion of T4. Boosted T4 increases fat burning, breaks down triglycerides, increases protein synthesis in skeletal muscle, and activates thermogenic brown adipose tissue (BAT). Various studies validate many of these effects. For example, male subjects in a 12-week trial increased total testosterone by 16.77% compared with a placebo group that decreased by 1.08%. In a mixed group of 50 test subjects, the forskolin users lost 1.8% body fat compared to the placebo group that gained 1% fat. Forskolin works so well it should be the first thing you look for in any testosterone-boosting supplement.*
